I sort of nodded off while reading this afternoon. Then this happened. It's in fucked up narrative form because I wrote this down in notepad after I woke up. I tried to clean it up a bit, but didn't have enough interest to clean it up entirely.

The part that I remember most clearly was kind of a BritTrip thing going on in like spring or summer. Before that was some other stuff, like my family going up north for vacation and skiing or something. Then there was a part about me being a homicide detective and solving a crime using some sort of illegal method. Then spending what seemed like a few days trying to keep people from figuring out what I did. I don't know exactly what crime I committed, but I remember intercepting phone calls. Whatever.

But the part I remember most clearly started with Paul, Annie, and I playing a fighting game in Paul's house room, but trying to play it quietly as to not wake up his parents who were sleeping across the hall. It's worth noting that the house this took place in looked nothing like his actual house, and the last time I had a Paulhouse based dream, the house looked like this one did. Whatever. I got my ass kicked and got upset.

Then at some point in the future, Paul was driving the three of us around, and i was in the back seat. We went up some big turning bridge over a river, and of course we went flying off the bridge into the water below. I did a check in my head to see if I was dreaming or not. Apparently I was sufficiently convinced that it was real and that I was falling into a river from a super high bridge in waking life. At this point, my primary concern became "fuck, now i need to hold my breath." I guess that's annoying or something.

So we got in the water and I unbuckled myself. Annie seemed to be having trouble so I unbuckled her too but she got irritated at me for not letting her do it herself. We figured the car was going to start filling with water, so we got all got out. It wasn't really a rushed or traumatic thing because we realized the river was only about 2 feet deep.

Then Paul and I tried to stop the car from floating downstream. I noticed that the water was actually flowing uphill, which I imagine is pretty common in parts of Britain. We chased down the car until it stopped at a reverse waterfall. The thing acted as a barrier, since the car couldn't make it up the water to the higher level of the stream, if that makes sense.
So we then proceeded to pick the car up and carry it onto the grass to dry it off. That was possibly the weirdest collection of scenes that ever happened in a dream for me.

So anyways, apparently Annie got burned on her left hand while she was in the water somehow.
Paul took us to a hospital to get her taken care of. The receptionist didn't seem to care that she was American or anything like that, just that she had no record of employment with her. She eventually relented, and Paul and Annie went to get her hand looked at. I stayed in the reception area and got into a conversation with two middle aged women saying how they were going back to college. They had American accents. I told them I was going back to school too and was going to major in "hydro-economics" which they thought was very impressive.

And then i woke up.

In retrospect, with all this stuff about water in my dream, I'm surprised I didn't piss the bed. I think that's a sign this is going to be a good Christmas.
